I am  an interventional gastroenterologist who focuses on minimally invasive endoscopic procedures and practice at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

You can read more about the practice of interventional endoscopy or learn how to schedule an appointment with Dr. Keswani for an ERCP, EUS, other advanced endoscopy procedure at our website.

My clinical interests are varied including:

  • Use of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) in tumor diagnosis and staging, palliation of gastrointestinal malignancy
  • Pancreaticobiliary endoscopy (ERCP),
  • Endoscopic mucosal resection for early gastrointestinal malignancy
  • Complex Colonoscopy
  • Small bowel endoscopy including single balloon enteroscopy.
My research interests focus on quality in therapeutic and general endoscopy. You can learn about research here.

I serve as a panel member for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (gastric and esophageal cancer committee) which publishes national guidelines for the management of these tumors. I serve as the director of quality for the division of gastroenterology and hepatology with multiple ongoing projects assessing and improving endoscopy quality.

I completed my undergraduate and medical degree at Boston University followed by training in internal medicine at Stanford University. I then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Chicago and following this,  underwent an additional year of advanced training in interventional endoscopy at Washington University St. Louis prior to joining the faculty at Northwestern University in 2008.
